"I am a queer/cuir Puerto Rican born in Santurce where I represent, and I grew up in rural Georgia, US. A major aspect of liberation to me is to speak openly and safely about personal trauma interconnected to our relationship to the land. When we heal ourselves, our collective heals, and the land heals. Be it generational and interpersonal trauma, it's a symbiotic relationship that informs us of our colonial history and what is best for us as a collective to return back to meeting the needs of our complex heritage."
